Lately, users of the Spotify app have encountered some issues while trying to use some features offered by the music streaming service.
According to several reports, these issues affect the ability to log in and use the search feature in the app. Thus, the functionality of the application is very limited (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).
Specifically, Spotify users get a “Something went wrong” error message when trying to connect via mobile data or when trying to search on large screen devices.
Spotify error while trying to use the search function
This problem does not appear to be entirely new to Spotify users. Apparently, some have already suffered from it for several weeks, and even today it is happening again.
Every time I try to search for an artist or song it loads and loads until it says “Couldn’t find this page, look for something else?” “My playlists are working fine, but if I click on the artist name or album, the message loads and then says” There was an error loading the artist, look for something else? ” At first I thought it was just a bug. Then a month later it was still happening.
Not being able to use the search function in the Spotify app certainly limits its use, especially if you have a large library of songs to search for the one you want to play from.
Spotify error while connecting via mobile data
The same ‘Something went wrong. Try again, an error would appear to Spotify users trying to connect through mobile data. If they use Wi-Fi or some other type of network, they can connect successfully.
When I try to log in it says, âSomething went wrong. Try again.”
I received a new iPhone yesterday and was unable to log into my account on my phone (it works fine on my laptop). I went through all the thread troubleshooting tasks (reboot, reinstall, software updates, get a friend back, etc.) The link sent by email is not working because it says it has expired or a another error message appears.
Please help! Thank you!
The Spotify team is already in the know
The Spotify team has officially confirmed that they are already aware of the two reported bugs. We therefore expect a fix to arrive soon.
They also add extra details, such as the connection error allegedly affecting Telstra customers, while the search function error can only occur on large screen devices.
We are receiving reports from users that when they try to log into their account while using their mobile data, they receive an error message, âAn error has occurred. Try again. âAccording to the reports we receive, it appears that this is having an impact on Telstra customers.
We will update this article if there are any new developments in this regard in the coming days. So stay tuned.
